The Power of Showing Up for Yourself: A Solo Date Journey of Spiritual Alignment

As a Spiritual Life Coach I am constantly reminding La Familia about the importance of showing up for yourself. Because when you do, the universe also shows up for you! This truth was illuminated for me in the most beautiful way last week when I decided to go on a solo date to see my favorite band, Hellogoodbye. This was no small feat; the last time I saw them was 14 years ago! I was attending school at CSU, Chico. I was young, fearless, inexperienced, and with zero responsibilities (aka no kids).

Asking the Universe for Help and Taking that Leap

As a single mom and small business owner it requires a lot of my energy to be poured into all these aspects of my life. For a few weeks I had felt my body drained. My patience was low and my irritation showed. So, I did what I always coach my Comadres, Compadres, and Comxadres to do! I prayed. I asked my Higher Power for help. I prayed for the resources to gain my patience and strengthen my self care pillars. Within a few days I was notified on Spotify that Hellogoodbye was going to be playing in the city of San Francisco. I went back and prayed, I prayed that all the doors would open up for me to make it to this concert. I prayed for the Universe to help me see this band. I wanted to see them! It would be the perfect completion for me. Since I had last seen Hellogoodbye, 14 years ago, I attended other concerts, but they were never for ME. They were either for my ex, a friend, or someone else. Never for me. This was part of my people pleasing tendency that I have been on a healing journey to break. I made the decision to go on a solo date to San Francisco and see Hellogoodbye! This was FOR me and no one else! Deciding to go alone was a leap of faith. It required trust, courage, and a willingness to step out of my comfort zone. I had to let go of the doubts and fears that whispered, "Will you enjoy it alone?" or "What if you meet all the wrong people and get hurt?" But something within me urged that this was more than just a concert – it was an alignment with the Universe’s plans for me.

The Universe Conspires

From the moment I made the decision to attend, I could feel the Universe conspiring in my favor. Everything fell into place effortlessly. Extra spending money for the ticket was sent my way, childcare was no problem, and as I drove to San Fransisco that evening there was no traffic. I was even able to get a parking spot in front of the venue. It was as if the Universe was nudging me, saying, "This is where you need to be Cristal. Trust, flow, surrender, let go!"

When I Trust, Flow, Surrender, and Let Go I see Beautiful Synchronicities

As I stood among the crowd, the music washing over me, I realized how powerful it is to trust and flow with life. There was a moment of pure surrender, letting go of everything that was holding me back. I wasn't just at a concert; I was in a state of flow, completely immersed in the present, and it felt incredibly liberating. The night was filled with synchronicities that affirmed I was exactly where I needed to be. Bumping into a Hellogoodbye fan who had also come alone was great to know I was not "alone". Finding a spot that gave me the perfect view of the stage as Forrest Kline was setting up. And as Forrest lit Palo Santo to clear the energies of the stage, that was when I knew that everything clicked into place. I found myself surrounded by people who shared my vibe, enhancing this amazing experience even further. These moments weren't just coincidences; they were the Universe's way of showing up for me because I had shown up for myself!

Attracting What You Want is Real

When you show up for yourself, you align with your true desires and intentions. This alignment attracts what you want into your life. That night, I didn't just attract an enjoyable experience; I attracted clarity, joy, and a deeper connection with myself and others. I had beautiful conversations with so many cool people. I convinced a great looking man to buy a shirt that had the tarot card "The Fool" on it, I connected with the bouncers and had an intimate conversation about life and the importance of taking it one day at a time. The music, the atmosphere, and the energy of the crowd all contributed to a profound sense of belonging and fulfillment. I was even blessed with running into Forrest as I stepped out to get something to eat. It was wonderful thanking him for his energy and for his love for music. I even dared to ask him if he would give me the Palo Santo he used in the beginning of the concert. He said YES! I was left amazed with how true the statement of "I don't chase, I attract" is!! I did not go chasing my happiness that night. I was simply myself and everything I wanted came my way.

Thank You, Universe

As the night ended and I was driving back home, I felt a surge of gratitude. I thanked the universe, for showing up for me. Thanked my Higher Power for reminding me that when I trust, flow, surrender, and let go beautiful things happen. Seeing Hellogoodbye after 14 years was more than just a nostalgic trip; it was a powerful lesson in self-love and the magic of the Universe (BTW even Forrest talked about the magic of the Universe as he started his set).

Embrace Your Journey

So, if you're reading this, consider it a gentle nudge from the Universe. Show up for yourself, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone. Trust that the universe will meet you halfway. Embrace the journey with an open heart, and you might just find yourself in the right place at the right time, attracting the right people and experiences into your life.

Remember, the Universe is always ready to show up for you. All you need to do is take that first step. I am sending you so much Fire & Butterflies! And Don't Forget, Love Your Now!

Loving My Now,

Comadre Cristal
